of course - it's west wing marathon monday on bravo, so i'm camped out with my financial aide info, tv and knitting.
so i'm watching, and i caught a quote i've been wanting to compare:
" What about Ohana?
Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind... or forgotten"
- Lilo, lilo and stitch
"Government can be a place where people can come together - where no one gets left behind. where no one gets left behind"
- Toby, the west wing
so ... either there's a correlation between family and government... or no one wants to feel like they'll be left behind. writers know this and manipulate it into whatever they want to be their message.
wow. i actually felt good for a little while.
i think i'll stick to the first thought. I don't intend to leave anyone behind.

current events
here it is...
"This was the Golden Age, a time of high adventure, rich living, and hard dying...but nobody thought so. This was a future of fortune and theft, pillage and rapine, culture and vice...but nobody admitted it. This was an age of extremes, a fascinating century of freaks...but nobody loved it."
